As part of this programme, we now can support people to work though computerisedCBTprogrammes such as Moodgym and Living Life to the Full.
What is cCBT?
Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) is an internet-based service that uses a cognitive behavioural approach.It is interactive and enables each individual to work at their own pace.
Different Computer Packages
We are assisting with two CBT internet-based packages that are available freely online:
Living Life to The Full
This service is designed by an experienced CBT therapist to help to explain why we feel the way we do and teach key life skills to tackle unhelpful behaviours and to help develop healthy sleep, exercise and dietary habits.
Moodgym
This service designed by the National Australian University helps to identify and overcome problem emotions.It also shows how to develop practical ways and good skills to cope with difficult events in the future.
Sessions take approximately one hour to complete and can be continued at home if you have access to a computer and the internet.
There are other computer packages available that require a referral from your GP, including ‘Beating the Blues’ for moderate depression and ‘Fearfighter’ for panic and phobia.
